P52:1 – SunStar
I’ve been wanting to try this technique for sometime now but blue skies and fresh snow just didn’t seem to want to cooperate on the days I wanted them too. I shot this about 2pm in the afternoon. The “Golden Hour” rule doesn’t apply here. My favorite shots I got were between 1-2:30pm. Once the sun got to low it didn’t have the same look or feel for what I was trying to accomplish.

Achievable
Well since I pretty much failed miserably with my 365 challenge I decided to take on something a little more “Achievable” for myself this year and do a 52 Week Project. I can manage that. I hope I can manage that!! My only twist is I have to shoot each week for my project using my strobes. I’m excited for this. Seems like I’ve been in a rut for a long time with my lighting style and I’m looking forward to the challenge and learning new things. Happy New Year!!
Day 142
Love the Veggie/Fruit co-op! Trying to decide what to do with the coconut that arrived in my basket today!!

Day 140
I got to do a session with a couple who will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary next month. WOW! Very inspiring.

Day 139
Sick today. Kids were on their own for breakfast. When I stumbled out of bed to the smell of smoke I found this.

Day 138
Charlie has a special drawer where I dump his binkies. He knows this drawer well and hangs out there often. Today he just decided to camp out and take his nap there too!

Day 137
Family shoot in the Orchard. It’s so pretty this time of year it seems I drag everyone out there.

Day 135
Memories of the 3rd world country I lived in almost 15 years ago came flooding back. So many people all around us were getting sick. I thought we escaped unscathed…Not so. Ted and Charlie are the latest victims. The boil order has been in place since Thursday and they are thinking it won’t be lifting until Sunday. Let’s go camping!
